actually sigma alpha iota, which is the same group for girls is technically considered a fraternity

Well I'm not here to bash SAI, but OUR girls are nothing but hens and don't do anything. A bunch of angry whining women.

so do yall have initiation for your frat? its music, so does it envolve any music initiation.

yeah we do. I can't tell you anything about it, but it's been said that ours is one of the best initiations of most fraternities, and no, I'm not just saying that. i've put on 13 rituals at different chapters and they i've gotten chills at all of them. it's def something special

so maybe i should look into frats.

yeah that's what i was wondering.. well when you take campus visits and things, see if you can find guys from Phi Mu Alpha. if you are planning on music ed, or biology, it doesn't matter, just that you have a love for music.

There's also Delta Omicron, which is a national music fraternity. The organization is considered a fraternity, but is co-ed. There is one at my school... and all members, except for two, are female.

Yep. There is also Kappa Kappa Psi, which is the counterpart to DO.

Phi Mu Alpha is a great bunch of Guys i went to IUP for my freshman year of college and IUP has the third largest chapter of Phi Mu Alpha in the nation if i had stayed at IUP instead of joining the military i would most deffinatly have pledged

Haha! Yeah... you have Tau Beta Sigma and Kappa Kappa Psi, which are both co-ed (TBS is a sorority while KKPsi is the fraternity). My chapter of Tau Beta Sigma has 15 girls and 10 guys, and our chapter of Psi is about the reverse. As national service organizations, they both have to be co-ed to conform with Title 9 (though some chapters still keep guys and girls separated).

While SAI and Phi Mu Alpha are music organizations, TBS and KKPsi are music service organizations. Depending on the school, you can see all 4, but some schools just have a few.
