Ideas Drop Off Box

As a whole I would like to use this thread as a way to drop off ideas for shows. Rather it be themes or new innovative ideas. I think by doing this, we will see more ideas from the shows we judge and design.

Do you mean shows we'd like to see done, but aren't going to do? Ideas for other people? That's a good idea.

I haven't been here very long, and it seems like it'd be done by now, but a series of four shows about the four classical elements (Fire, Water, Earth, Air) would be sweet.

Just any ideas you'd like to see on here. It would be a way to pick some ideas that seem interesting to you.

Stryfe- I did one show about all four hermetic elements... I think others have done shows about water or fire etc...

I think somebody should sync a show to the opener from BD 95 "The Gangster Chronicles"...

VinnyE - ah, didn't know about that. But yeah, I meant like a series of four all by the same person, maybe with some linking drill elements and well thought out flow. Or a team effort between four people. (I'd totally be up for that by the way if anyone wants to split it up >_>)

I agree with Sam. I was thinking about doing that. Maybe I will.

I haven't seen much video game love here either. That would be pretty cool. Probably something I'll also do.

By the way...I did a 5 short seires. With the five elements in the Chinese philosophy. The system described interactions and relationships between phenomena. They were metal, wood, water, fire, and earth.
They were used in many fields of Chinese thought like astrology, Chinese medicine, music, military strategy and martial arts. I started with the creation cycle with water going to wood, fire, then overacting cycle finishing with, earth, and metal. And created the shows through their attributes. Like strength or flexibility, and in motion by movements.

Some of the stuff I knew in the beginning, but some I had to use wikipedia...but anyways just a short history lesson.

And there was a lot of video game shows, just search game and there will be quite a few results. I think it got a bit overused. But you can still do some if you want.

Well, I've seen a lot of like Space Invaders, Asteroids, Pong shows. Cheesy, super old school stuff of various qualities. No tributes to new games.

I've been through all the shows with "game" in the title now... The only show to break 80 only referenced the words "PS2" and "PS3" without referencing actual games, and the only show to break 85 only went up to 1995 (Pokemon). I'd like a show about fairly modern games -- Super Nintendo, at least! :P

Anyway, end rant. Anyone who wants to do it will do it.

Precisely. 1995. Pokemon. Everything else (Pac-Man, original Legend of Zelda, Mario, NES controller, "Game over," Tetris, etc.) is from before 1995, most of those way before 1995. It's been 13 years. Most of those are from before I was even born. I'm looking for more up-to-date references. Halo (Spartan emblem), Fire Emblem (the sword symbol), modern Final Fantasy (meteor symbol, crystals), Mass Effect, Portal (you could have a lot of fun with that), Half-Life (lambda symbol). Things like that. :P

end rant again. Also bump. I like seeing ideas here, I just don't have any more right now.

I would like to see Blue Devils 2006 show, The Godfather Part Blue. Or one of the more recent shows, like Cavaliers, The Samurai. I would just like to see more remakes of DCI shows in general.

Strye, somebody requested I do Pokemon next for my Cartoon series, and I think I'm going with it, but is it really considered a Cartoon?

I would like to see someone sync to the music of Bjork.

I think it's more considered of one of those anime series things.

i would call it an anime cartoon. I used to watch it as a kid.

Anime means "Japanese cartoon," more or less, so yes, it is a cartoon. It was a game first, but that doesn't really matter, I think it's a good idea for the Cartoon series.

Incidentally, I think "é" would be a good set for that. ;P But I'm kind of lame.

Yu-Gi-Oh is the card one...not to be confused with Cardcaptors, a show of equal ownage.

I Think there are most possibilities with pokemon test. Yu-Gi-Oh does own, but it's about cards.. Not much to go on theme wise.

Yeah, you can't write a show with Egyptian symbols or anything...
