Update #22 -- Nothing Exciting

I just deployed the 22nd update, which has absolutely nothing that you'd be interested in.

- Removed Yardline Snap from Menu (use the "Y" shortcut instead)
- Fixed Undo
- Preview link is automatically added to WIP posts
- You now get 1 XP for replying to a WIP topic
- Removed chat for now. (not enough activity)
- Judge Shows count corrected
- Judging in Progress message no longer shows the number of votes. It was causing too much confusion. I'll eventually come up with a better progress indicator.
- New URLs for preview and judge pages
- Shortcut link added to Menu
- Red box highlight instead of the oval, when hovering over a marcher
- XP now links to a page that explains the system
- Lots of back end changes

Ouchy. the red box hurts my eyes with the green. I'm sure I'll get used to it, though. Thanks!

Er, bug? I press Y and the Yardline interval changes, but there's no report message for it anymore.

It will probably change in the next update.

I just fixed the snap message. Hit Ctrl-Refresh first.

And you can't view the number of votes that are currently in place. Is it a problem with people always naging because of the fact that judging stops at the 39th vote?

the red boxes are kind of menacing

and I just discovered that the ctrl-z(undo) function still doesn't work for me...

Uhm...the Judge Show, Home and Design a Show buttons are a smashed together and its blocking my name and stuff. I'm using Safari, btw.

Sam, try using tilde-Z (~Z) instead.

Ya, i just got on my other computer with IE and the top nav. looks fine but on safari it is all smashed together like William Colwell said.

sorry Joe, but that doesn't work either... and I've tried it on both ie7 and firefox 3...

might i suggest a red box around the marcher and not a solid red square? the red square is a tad much for my taste.

Don't get why it's "a tad much". It doesn't stay red. Only while you're hovering over the marcher. If you select the marcher, it turns dark green. The red makes it MUCH EASIER to know which marcher you're working with.

Yeah the solid red is so much easier to read then the small circle at their feet.

bright red and green is just a color combination that is naturally unappealing (I like Vanguard as much as most people, but I kinda wish they had picked different colors ;P). It's really no big deal for me, even though I would prefer yellow or something.

i like red and green, but solid red just isnt my thing... it is better then what it was, but bright red is no bueno...

this new update makes my upper bar of options such as home judge shows and Profile stack up and cover up stuff on the top of the screen its not anything important though its not a major problem. but it only seems to do this for safari on my mac anytime i log in on a PC its fine

to teckla - Try using Firefox instead of Safari, I have a mac and use firefox and I dont have that problem

Just throwing this out there (I don't even really know if I'd want this) but what if the red box were changed to a red outline of the marcher? I don't know how it would work out seeing it while writing drill, but it would be less red.

But I think the red box isn't that bad, and you don't see it much anyways.
