I'm Joe. I'm 31, live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and run Flea Circus Games out of my kitchen (and occasionally my couch.)

I marched snare in Pioneer from '92 to '94. During my first year we were Division III and in '94 we won Division II.

My favorite corps are Cadets from the 90's and Cavies in the 2000's. My favorite show is probably Cadets 93.

I'm Jim, 40 years old (UGH!)
Originally from Oxford, Alabama. Now live in Opelika (near Auburn).
Marched with Oxford High School Band for 3 seasons. (That was when we were a force of nature. Now their just a passing rain shower.) I played flute in high school.

I attended Jacksonville State University (twice). BLOW SOUTHERNERS!
I'm a marching technique instructor and color guard specialist when I have the time to take off from my 'real' job. I also do some composing and arranging (choral and instrumental). I play piano and sing.

Favorite corps - Consistently Phantom Regiment. The last 4-5 years I've come around to Carolina Crown. I occasionally like a Blue Devils show. Of course love Madison and Cavies if they don't stray too far. I used to be a huge fan of Cadets when they were still a corps. Not so much now that they want to be whatever it is they're trying to be.

Was that too much info. I so rarely get to talk about myself.

I'm principal trumpet and band captain for my high school band (Lone Oak). This was my fifth year marching and I plan on continuing at whichever college I go off to next year. I nearly made the Cavaliers as a junior and plan to audition again next year. I decided not to audition this year because I didn't want to have to prepare for college in approx. two weeks after the season was over. Obviously, the Cavaliers is my favorite drum corps, followed by Phantom Regiment. Oh, and here's a little side note: my director is friends with pedazos in real life and he wrote our drill this year for marching band.

My name is Erick Hoxter, I'm 17, a Junior at William Penn High School New Castle, De.

I'm from the tiny 1st state of Delaware

I'm a Trumpet player, and love it..one day my skills will catch up to my passion. I'm also going to be playing tuba next year(senior year) for marching band. I go to William Penn High. Cavalcade of Bands American 'A' Champs! We took everyones opinions and expectations of being "just that third place band" and annihilated that mindset finally. youtube.com/watch?v=7byvydi2yyo (leave a comment)

My favorite Corps are Cadets, I blew my audition this year but I will be a Cadet next year, mark my words! I wanted to march Raiders or Jersey Surf this year but I can't really afford to miss band camp. I also like Crossmen, Madison Scouts, Phantom Regiment, and Carolina Crown as well. All these Corps show either tradition, under rated shows or playing styles that go under rated and over looked by most fans.

I can't really brag because everything I tried out for (DCI, All state, local bands) Ifailed at, I'm not that great of a trumpet player but I will be.

Only thing I can brag about though is being able to stand in the Endzone at Hershey stadium on Nov. 10, and unexpectedly listening to the band names being called and us still not being called. by the time the announcer got to the top 5: I thought we were in the wrong division, top 3: I was glad we got third top 2: I was about to cry cause 2nd is a great accomplishment "and in first place, with a score of 91.55 nine one point five five. winning the high percussion award, high music award, and the high overall score award...William Penn High School!"
We stood set for a second fighting back tears of joy then went wild...best day ever in life...that was a little more than an introduction but I couldn't resist putting it down! Nice to meet you guys too!

Dion McGill 5 months ago
Hey,
I'm Dion McGill of Chicago Illinois. I marched all through high school (Alan B. Shepard) first two years on saxophone, and spent my last two years as drum major. From there, Marched one year at Western Illinois University on Trumpet, and then 1 year as drum major (Drum major as a sophomore was odd). From there, I marched Mirage Drum and Bugle Corps (Div. 3) out of Rantoul IL. (Contra) in 1997, and in 1998 (I still say due to the stroke of luck of going to a college that had 5 members) I marched with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps on Contra. I marched with the Cavaliers again in the 2000 season, and of course, tied with the Cadets for the world championship. (I can live with a tie).
My first live drum corps show was 1995, 2 days before championships, in Dekalb, IL. Blue Devils beat Cavaliers by about a point.
My favorite corps include Cavies, Blue Devils, Phantom Regiment (They're '95 show still makes me swoon), Madison Scouts.
Formerly a music ed. major, I know major in history, and sing rock music.

Rock on!
~Dion

Who are you? Scott
Where are you from? Texas...Now living in North GA
Where and when did you march? 1987-1992 then Northeast Louisiana University.."the Sound of Today. Now the Universirty of Louisiana at Monroe...Marched Mellophone for one year then finished out my marching years as Drum Major
Who's your favorite band/corps? Aside from "the Sound of Today. I enjoy alot of SEC Bands.. The LSU Golden Band from Tiger Land, and the University of Tennessee, Pride of the Southland. However since moving to Georgia I happened on a website 3 years ago and it was the JSU Marching Southerners. I have become a very big fan of that program and have been to many arenas to watch the Southerners. The Director, Ken Bodiford has built an incredible program, not only with a powerful horn and precussion line, but also a remarkable guard ensemble that transforms this marching band into a visual masterpiece on the marching field. If you don't believe me..check it out for yourself... marchingsoutherners.org

Thanks for indulging me! Just wish I would have known about that university marching program when I was but a wee toddler!

I'm Wade. You can figure out my last name my looking at my screen name. (Hint: Wade=Edaw)

I'm 18 years old and I go to Houston County High School in Columbia, Al. If you don't know where that is, it's 18 miles east of Dothan. If you don't know where Dothan is, it's in the southeast corner of Alabama.

I play horn. I am a member of many community bands/orchestras in my area, including the Troy University Dothan Community Band, Wallace Community Band, and Tri-State Community Orchestra. I have been a member of the Webb Baptist Church Chamber Orchestra, and Troy Symphony Orchestra, but due to my busy schedule and conflicts, I couldn't do those this year.

I do as many honor bands as possible. I have 12 honor bands on my planner this year. The ones I have already done are Tri-State (FSU) Samford (not Stanford), University of Alabama, Auburn University, Mid South (Ole Miss) Alabama State, and District 8. I still have County, Western Carolina University, All-State, University of North Alabama, and Jacksonville State University. By the way, JDGurg, did you get 5th chair trombone in the Bacon-White Band last year at UNA? I went last year and I had a great time also. Maybe I'll see you at UNA this year.

I marched in my high school band for 6 years. I started in 7th grade. It's cool that I have just as many years of marching under my belt as many College Sophomores. I have also done 2 years of the marching honor bands of both Auburn University and University of Alabama at Birmingham. Both are fun, especially if you love marching band.

I will be attending University of Alabama this fall. I will be pursuing a degree in Music Education.

I really love this site. I might get the opportunity to write part of the drill for my high school band next, but I doubt it. We have a small band. We have 29 winds and percussion in our concert band this year, and 9 of us are graduating.

Well, that's all I've got.

Hello, I'm Sam, I'm a senior in the Cleveland High School Band where I've been a member of the Marching Band and Symphonic Band for the last four years, and have been a part of various small ensembles for special occasions in the school and community. I've also been second chair Alto Saxophone in band for my entire high school career, which I've always though was bizarre... In addition to playing in band, I've also composed and arranged several short pieces for different concerts and events over the years. This coming fall I will be attending Lee University in my hometown of Cleveland, Tennessee where I will major in Music Education with instrumental emphasis...

As a matter of face, i got my acceptance letter into the school of Music from Sam today, and I also got an acceptance letter from University of Houston where I plan to do my Graduate Work. The corp that has consistently been my favorite has been the Cavies but it changes every year. Last year my favorite show was the Blue Devils with SCV very closely behind. One year i would like to do a corp just to get the experience but I don't know how that will turn out.

ok fine.

as i said, i'm jared. i'm 26/indianapolis/spanish teacher at avon high school. i help out with the marching band program during the fall and also manage the band website (www.avonband.com). i've never marched corps because i grew up a woodwind player (i regret it...i would've loved to have done corps, but i didn't know it existed until i was like 18), but i've been big into the marching activity since i started marching band my freshman year. i went to high school in springboro, ohio and got my teaching degree at miami university of ohio (go redhawks!).

while i'd love to be a big-named drill writer some day, i gotta start small. this past fall i wrote for lone oak high school in peducah, kentucky (jamie wilson's school). if you'd like to watch their fall show you can on the band website: www.loneoakband.org. maybe you'll watch the show and say "oh yeah, i SO knew it was pedazos like two sets into the show!"

i don't have a favorite corps because i've only been into drum corps since 2000, but i do have favorite shows: SCV '98/'99 (AWESOME drill), cavies '95/'01, cadets '00/'05/'07 ('05 my all-time favorite show), crown '06/'07, phantom regiment '03/'05/'06 (FAUST!). as for high school bands go: center grove back in '95-'99, plymouth-canton '97-'01/'06/'07, lawrence central '00/'04/'05, reagan '04, broken arrow '06/'07, avon '02/'04/'05/'07, marian catholic any freaking year but 2006 (2002 goes down as my all-time favorite show put on the field), and, of course, the LD Bell trilogy.

when i'm not glued to this website, i'm glued to my guitar rocking out in guitar hero, watching american idol/big brother/survivor, writing a novel that will never be published, drinking too much starbucks, or sleeping a lot.

i'm so glad have gotten all that off my chest.

Keyo Wilson 5 months ago
Well...yeah, my name is Keyo Wilson, and I graduated from North Stafford High School in Stafford, VA...I go to James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, and I am a huge geek.

By the way, I marched tuba with Cadets last year. I think that explains why my drill is mostly linear, haha...

My favorite shows? Too many. I'll start with Cadets: 1987, 1992, 1993, 1996-1998, 2000 (this one is my ultimate favorite), 2005, and obviously, 2007. We marched and played the h*** out of that show last year, so I'm so proud of it.

Others: Cavaliers: 2000; Blue Devils: 2005; Phantom Regiment: pretty much any year, but the top ones are 1989, 1996, 2003, 2006; Santa Clara Vanguard: 1989; Carolina Crown: 2005 and 2007; Bluecoats: 2006 and 2007; Crossmen: 1992!, 2001-2003

Maybe I could go on, but I'm gonna give it a rest, haha...

Hi,
my actual name is Kevin. I am currently in the COLORADO STATE CHAMPION marching band from Air Academy High School. I play Clarinet, second chair. I'm currently a junior.
Adrian Caswell captain5 months ago
I guess I'll chime in.

My name's Adrian Caswell, ummm yeah. Here's the typical stuff you might want to hear.

I graduated from Westwood High School in Austin, TX. Spent 5 years getting my music education degree from The University of Texas. I was in the Longhorn Band for all 5. While I was there I met my wonderful my fiancé, Jenny. She was also in the band and a former drum major of The Woodlands HS. We're getting married in less than 3 months!

Now I'm in Houston, 24 years old, and in the middle of my first year of teaching. I teach at a high school in Sugar Land, a suburb west of Houston. I absolutely LOVE my job and feel extremely honored to be able to work with the students and staff there.

As far as corps experience, I never strayed very far from home. I marched in The Cadets from 2001-2005 on lead trumpet. I always had many favorite corps and that list is growing even more as friends, students, etc are getting further involved. My favorite high school is Austin High School ☺

I enjoy my time on this website and have had the privilege to meet many wonderful people. I’ve always wanted to start writing drill for real and it looks as though that may become a reality for this upcoming season. I can’t tell you how excited I am at the opportunity. Either way, I have a blast coming up with ideas and trying to let out some creativity through drill writing.

I'm Jason from Tennessee. I'm a 2nd year band director. I graduated from U of M in 06. I play trumpet. Never marched but wish I would have taken the plunge and marched my age out in 04. I've been writing drill since 03 for local schools and some at the University. My favorite corps are The Cavaliers and The Cadets. When I saw my first live show in 01, they floored me and I was hooked! I'd say my favorite show is 007, maybe because I played a couple movements of it and loved it.

Freshman at Dorman High School in Roebuck South Carolina (second biggest high school in SC besides Summerville which is splitting up this year)
Marched in 8th grade (one in five) and ninth grade
I play the Trombone in concert band and the baritone in marching band. I will be playing euphonium next year. Our school marchers with Dynasty baritones, ephoniums, and mellophones (could be better, but its what we have).
Made ninth chair in the South Carolina All-State band against mostly tenth graders.
I really want to march Phantom, but will most likely march Crown first because they are so near to us, and because i know a couple baritone players that are planning on marching there until they age out.

Ed from Harrisburg, PA.

It's all in my profile page but here goes:

Marched 5 years of drum corps. First on baritone with the Reading Buccaneers (2000-2003) and the Harrison Bushwackers (2005) and then on mellophone with the Hawthorne Caballeros.

Been judging visual for about 4 years (I'd rather not say where.) I've been a music designer for about 5 years, and a visual designer for the past 2 seasons.

I see this place as a great tool to help budding drill writers who DON'T have 700.00 just laying around to buy Pyware and my goal is education. Hope my comments are helpful to you all! :)

From ATX. Graduated from Bowie HS after marching all 4 years (2 on flute and 2 on Piccolo). My senior year I was 4th chair Wind Ensamble (1st band) and got to play Enigma Variations (Sweet!) and the 1821 Overture (Even Sweeter!).

I've had the opportunity to march in 2 national championships: Fiesta Bowl where we won Sweapstakes (1st in prelims, 1st in finals, 1st in parade) and the Grand Nationals Comp in Indy in 2006 where we place in the top 12 in prelims, semi-finals and finally 12th overall in finals (not bad for Bowie's 1st appearence, eh?)

I live in Laurinburg, NC where I go to St. Andrews Prebyterian College and am majoring in Forensic Science. I plan on learning snare this summer b/c the only band at SAPC is a Bagpipe and Drum band so why not?

I love music of all kinds and nothing beats watching DCI live!

My name is Jason Schmidt (obviously), and I go to Penn High School, extreme northern Indiana. I play the trombone, and I have marched with the band for 3 years now (junior)(yes, we march trombones as well)
-I have been in the top band since I was a freshman.
-I tried out for all-state band soph+junior year, and made it both years.
-Tried out for all-state orchestra junior year and made it.
-The bands in my school I am in: symphonic band, symphonic orchestra, marching band, pep band, pit orchestra, and jazz band next year.
-Our symphonic band made it into the Midwest Clinic for 2008 on our first attempt ever, lol, which is pretty exciting. Thankfully I will still be in the band for the great experience.

Umm, I guess that's it. Any more questions, just comment on my profile or something ;)

My name is Devon and I'm 24. Nickname I go by is Denver, if you wanna hear the story just ask lol

I'm from the East Coast, the home of the Terps to be exact. I'be been living in Indianapolis for the last 2 months

I marched the Lehigh Valley Knights in 2002(d3) and the Jersey Surf in 2003(d2) I also marched every top 12 show beginning with 1999 in my living room lol

My favorite band would have to be Kennesaw Mountain and corps is a no brainer. I am a die-dard Cavaliers fan. The first time I saw the PBS broadcast back in 99 as soon as i heard the first note of their Classical Innovations program I was hooked and have been since. My first live show was in 2001 in Clifton, NJ. I regret having never gone out for the Cavaliers but thats life I guess. Also

Hmmm accomplishments...I've been on the staff of 2 tob bands back home and wrote drill for one. Its truly amazing seeing something you've created come to life.

I marched Bass 5 in 02 with LVK and switched to Contra in 03 with Surf.

Currently working on becoming a visual tech at one of the perennial BOA finalists here in Indy.

Thats enough about me for now lol

I have marched in my high school's marching band for two years, and started my freshman year. (We are part of Chapter 11 Tournament of Bands, group 2. Possibly Group 3 this upcoming season since they changed the number of people you have to have.)

I play Clarinet for Marching Band and concert band, but if there s something like a solo or important part in the Oboe part (or if the clarinet part is only split into like 2 parts or one), I play Oboe. (We only have four clarinets in concert band including me)
Um.. this past year I went to District Band on Oboe 2. I made 2nd chair so I didn't get to go to Regionals, but I made 2nd chair overall so I'm happy. I also do choir, show choir, and... I went to district chorus this past year, and made 11th chair (cut off for regionals is 10th), and I only lost by like .01 of a point or .1 something like that. If only I have gotten .2 higher... I also compose on the side. I also like to make rpgs...

Oh, and I'll be a junior next school year.

My name is Adam Greene. I am 17 but pretty close to 18 (turn 18 in July). I play baritone/euphonium. I marched baritone in my high school band all 4 years. I went to Paul Laurence Dunbar H.S. in Lexington, Ky. In my years, we won state in 2004,2005,and 2007. We won two BOA Regionals (Murfreesburo in 2004, Bowling Green in 2005). In 2006 we made it to semi-finals at BOA Grand Nationals, placing 15th(I think) overall. In 2007 we also won 1st place at the Contest of Champions. I am going to Transylvania Univeristy here in Lexington and minoring in music (still playing euphonium). My favorite drum corps is probably a tie between all of them. Each one has certain shows that appeal to me (most notably Madison Scouts 1988 and 1995).

PS- I am in no way looking for a fight about KMEA State Championships or any other contest.

I'm Scott and I am a Senior at Lake Orion High School in Lake Orion Michigan. I have played percussion in band for over seven years, including playing in the Symphonic Band next year as well as this past year, and Pit in the Marching Band for the last two marching seasons. We took third in the state in Flight I in 2006 with our show "Facing Rage", and second in 2007, "The Perfect Number". This year, I'm a Drum Major (one of four) which is obviously quite a jump from Pit. Our show for this year has yet to be given a title, but we rehearsed the music for a week already and it's going to sound pretty cool! This will be the first year that we travel to the BOA Grand Nationals so this should be a pretty interesting year. As far as my favorite corps goes, I would probably have to say the Cavies.

My name is Brian, and my online user name is Barius. It is a shorter version of my MySpace name Barius Supremous. Barius Supremous means in pseudo Latin, "Supreme Bari," and I earned it for being one of the baritone saxophone players in the Antelope Valley.

I'm from Lancaster California, where I marched with the Lancaster High School Eagle Corps for all four years. I marched baritone saxophone freshmen and senior year, and alto saxophone sophomore and junior year. Upon graduating in 2005, I became a walk-on marching instructor for LnHS. I have done this for the last three years.

Being a California boy, I love both the Blue Devils and Santa Clara Vanguard Drum Corps. I also enjoy watching the Cavaliers. Some of my favorite high school groups in California are the Granada Hills Highlander Band, the Etiwanda Eagle Regiment, the Hart Regiment, and the Ayala Band and Color Guard. There are many more, but I can't think of them all right now.

Currently, I am studying Music Education at California State University, Northridge, and I plan to teach either junior high or high school band and orchestra.

Shawn Wright 1 month ago
Name: Shawn Wright (duh)
Age: 16
Home Town: Daphne, Alabama (2nd fastest growing area in the nation[ughh])
Instrument: Trumpet (I own. QUADRUPLE G!)
Marched with: Daphne High School 2006 -2008
Favorite corps: (in order) Cavaliers, Phantom Regiment, SCV, Cadets, Blue Devils... I forget after that. lol =P
I also play: Piano, Guitar, CD's, Soundboard, MML =], Mellophone (French Horn), Tuba (one of my favorites. Pedal D2. OH yeah[sound like a helicopter]) and... I think that's it.
I'm About to brag about:
1) Being the best trumpet player, like... ever (almost)
2) Playing a Quadruple G on my Trumpet without using any fancy asymmetrical mouthpieces, no pressure techniques, etc., or anything but practice.
3) Doing on my one and only Bach 3C mouthpiece (I wish I had a deeper/bigger one though.
4) Being awesome at guitar hero, and playing a real one. =P
5) Ummm... oh yeah. My amazing marching skill (sarcasm, although I'm not too bad, if I may say so myself)
6) Ummm... poo! I forget! Oh well
Other things: I'm obsessed with MML, and am going to try to write all the rest of my shows in a state of amnesia, because apparently I do really good when I do.
Check out my show "Amnesia" on my profile.
Anyways, I'm done. -.-* (relief) =]

Shawn- If you like Bach mouthpieces, try a 1 1/2 C - they're deeper and overall "bigger" than a 3c- and will give you a darker, more orchestral sound. You may lose a little range for the first few weeks or however long it takes you to adjust to the new 'piece, but you'll get over that soon enough. Bach's quality control isn't quite what it used to be, so you may have to try one or two until you find one that slots well.

I've known a decent number of lead soprano guys who've used 1 1/2 Cs (or bigger) successfully. I've also known about 1000 or so lead sops who swear by those tiny "cheater" peashooter mouthpieces too- but they tend to be old school "lazer tone" players.

I'm Luke Stapleton (15). I'm in the Ross High School Marching Band. I don't like to brag about myself but I do like to brag about the band I'm in. Our band has qualified for the OMEA (state) Competition for 23 years in a row now. I'm a second chair trumpet. This is only my softmore year but it's been great so far! This year our show is based on Picaso's time period and it's called "Pablo". This is also the year that the Ross High School Marching Rams get to march in the Walt Disney World parade which is pretty exciting. Besides marching band, I'm also involved in pep band, concert band, and jazz band. Last year our jazz band played at the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. I've got a MySpace account (www.myspace.com/trumpet_hero) where you'll also find many of my buds in the band. Give me a ring if you'd like. I also started up a new group on MySpace called Marching Bands of America. It's definitely open to anyone here! Just look us up! I've got to say that my favorite DCI band is the Cadets.

Calvin Fackrell 12 days ago
My name is Calvin Fackrell, as it says above.

I teach, march compose and write. Not necessarily in that order. I teach up in the northwest, I marched in the northwest and currently march Blue Devils, I compose a little music every once in a while, and I come here to write drill.

I am 20 years old, and am enjoying being a part of this whole marching music thing. It's more incredible than donuts. Yeah that's right, donuts.
Nate Hoppel 12 days ago
My moniker happens to be: Nate Hoppel. I am 18 years of age. I am from Cleveland Tennessee. I have marched for five high school marching seasons: one in Jefferson-Morgan high in Pennsylvania, and four at Cleveland High in Cleveland. I play trombone and baritone and i now go to Lee University, one of the best music schools I know of. As everybody knows, my favorite corps is Phantom Regiment, on account of their buicks. My favorite band is Broken Arrow on account of their show about water (I think it was "aqua" or something like that). And I made four ensembles this year at Lee: Jazz, Wind, Symphonic, and a Trombone Chamber ensemble. and it's my first year!

I've marched for the Pride of Pendleton Marching Band since 2005
Well, I'm a fan of the Blue Devils (go ahead... boo lol). I also love Phantom Regiment, Santa Clara Vanguard, and Madison Scouts.

I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school. I am the feature saxophone soloist this year, so if you happen to run into Pendleton at a competition (or just search us on youtube), listen for me at the beginning. Can't miss it.

My name is Marcus Grant. I'm 16, and I've lived in virginia all my life. I'm currently the trumpet section leader and field captain for the thomas dale high school marching knights. This is my third year in marching band. My favorite corps is Phantom Regiment, but I also like the blue devils a lot. In fact, the opener for our current season is 'One More Time, Chuck Corea' - originally a blue devils drum core chart in the early 80s. I have a solo in it =D. I'm a junior in high school, but not your average junior! I'm a composer/arranger for our marching band stand tunes, and just for fun! I plan on entering an original concert composition into the national PTA reflections contest this year. We'll see how far that goes ;D. You can read more about me in my profile.
P.S. I think this site is AWESOME! =D

My name is Carl.

I'm originally from Jupiter, FL, but right now I'm going to college at UCF in Orlando.

I marched for the Jupiter High School Marching Warriors (now known as Spirit of Jupiter) for four years, I'm now marching with the UCF Marching Knights, and this past summer I marched with the Boston Crusaders.

My favorite corps would have to be a toss-up between Phantom Regiment and Star of Indiana (gotta love the classics).

Terre Haute, Indiana

Terre Haute North Patriot Brigade, 2007 & 2008(this year), and definatley for the next 2 years too!
Who's your favorite band/corps?
My favorite band is mine, and my favorite corps is Phantom Regiment, a new fan though.

Also, go ahead and brag about your accomplishments. =)
Umm, In only my second year of playing baritone I participated in the ~2007 All Region Honor Band in Cloverdale, Indiana
~My school won gold in ISSMA competition (Symphonic Band)

There would probably be more if I worked up enough confidence and courage to audition for more things.
Chelz 4 days ago
I'm Chelsea.
I'm from South Jersey.
I march in the RVRHS Red Devil Marching Band.
My favorite corps is a tie between Blue Devils and Jersey Surf. Both for my own reasons.

Accomplishments-
I play flute, piccolo, sax, and piano. During my high school career (I'm in my junior year now), I would like to learn three more woodwind instruments, and start learning two percussion instruments. I would LOVE to learn brass, but my teacher won't let me because she, and my other teacher say it will ruin my embrouchure(sp?). I disagree, but they're both accomplished musicians, and I don't doubt them.
In 2008, I got piccolo for the South Jersey symphonic band.
For my freshman, sophomore, (and probably junior, and senior year), I've been piccolo player in my district band (Western Burlington County).
I would one day like to go into music education, and go to West Chester University.
My favorite thing to play (just thought I'd throw this in) is Sevens by Samuel Hazo. I LOVED playing it.

And that's all about me. =D Comment if you have any questions/comments/concerns/what-not.

North Richland Hills Texas
Richland High school: 2005 (conductor), 2006 (Alto sax), 2007 (Bari sax), 2008 (low reed section leader, loudest woodwind player alive)

as for band and Drum corps, I could care less about the corp, but the show itself.

I've also been known as the Bari sax player that knows orchestral music more than band music, I'm alos the first one in my band to find audio files for the pieces we play, and I wirte music more than almost everyone.
mellophone1 4 days ago
Well, its about time I got around to doing this, so here it is...

Hi, I'm Kyle!
I play french horn for concert band, mellophone for marching band, viola for string orchestra, and I sing tenor for chorus. My school, Penn Yan Academy(NY) no longer has a competitive marching band, but we used to compete in NYSFBC up until the end of the 2006 season. That was unfortuantly the only season that I was able to march. Now the only time I get to touch the mellophone is for pep band and memorial day.
I have a couple favorite bands, most of them are listed in my profile. My favorite corps are Carolina Crown, Phantom Regiment, Boston Crusaders(DCI), and for DCA Empire Statesmen and the White Sabers.
Thats about it.
