Saw Stephen F. Austin yesterday night(10/31/08), I enjoyed the energy the band was giving and the music arrangements. I am a student from Akins hs from Austin, TX. And I just have to say SFA has a fantastic band program.
Good luck with your future events until next year...

Dear Adrian,
Of all the shows of yours I have seen, not one has been worse than terrific. I was wondering if you would review my two newer shows and tell me what you thought of them and how I could improve.
Thanks a lot,
Loren

Yes Bruce was a Irmo before he went to North Gwinntt in Suwanee Georgia. He is a great band director and a great man.

Are you familiar with my high school director (many years ago) Bruce Dinkins? He is in your fair state now. I can't recall the name of the high school where he teaches. He is a tremendous person.

Gino was horn tech for the alto line when I marched Devils...He knows alot. I actually just talked to him on Labor day weekend at DCA finals.

Thanks for the comment! And it's ironic that you type that because I feel the same about you. Your shows are the THE ones that I am most anxious to see. You have some great design ideas and I find myself jealous that "I didn't think of that move first." I'll be interested to see what your future holds for drill designing, cause I do think you'll have one very soon.

I received the score for my VinnyE show on Sunday, before Joe removed the scores. So I am glad I had time to record it. I am also lucky it made it through the judging circuit so quickly.

So you marched with Cadets? Was Gino Cipriani your caption head then?

I understand deleting duplicate threads, but it was opinion, not attitude. Sorry for the offensive tone. No offense was intended.

My whole family lives in houston. 1 of my uncles lives in Bayou Vista, and his house got flooded up to the top level of his house. My other 2 uncles live in Baliver and their houses (luckly) survived. It's a really bad site to see. Also I have always been to the beach and with my uncles sense I have been born. Now I don't know if I will see Galveston and Baliver/Crystal Beach like I remeber it. I live in Colorado now but I feel just as bad as them.

This sucks!

Nah, you're not being too pushy. ok, umm... first, I started out the season with them, but my school said I had to come back and take health/drivers ed during the summer cuz I didn't during the year, but when I got to the school the first day of summer school, they decided I didn't have to take it. second, no, it wasn't trumpet guild, it was the International Musical Conservatory award (for the trumpet, of course =P) you have to be invited to be in that one. third, who's who among high school band students was created by a bunch of kids who wanted to have fun when they were bored, and then it spread to a lot more people, and if you win a best player of the year award three times in a row, you get a best ever award. I think there's like six of them currently. Umm, I've almost taken private lessons from several people (including Arturo Sandoval) but had to turn all of them down due to price or schedule confliction. guess which one was cuz of price... jk. I like how you play the stick. lol. Is that a legitimate instrument, or an inside joke?

bob was a visual tech at my band for two seasons (05 and 06). dan czuska is another person i think you might know, i believe he marched in at least 03. he was a drum line tech this past season.

hey you marched cadets 05...do you know bob defeliece? (spelling?)

that's awesome. 2003 is maybe in my top 3 Cadet shows. 2001 was the very first drum corps show I saw live... so that holds a special meaning to me. It freaked me out how when you all did your run through at the clinic in Murfreesboro how someone fell in the last big move and everyone just ran over him/ or her!

:) I'll go on and write a Cadet medley show... just for you! I'll do that next. By the way, you marched in some of my all time favorite shows. Which soloist were you... if you don't mind my asking?
