My name is Erik, I'm 29 and I live in Holland. I have been marching for 18 years now in a dutch showcorps called Wilhelmus Sliedrecht. I have been playing the trumpet for 15 years now and the baritone for 3 years.

We (Wilhelmus Sliedrecht) just started a new show called "My Spanish Heart" based on the music of Chick Corea and other spanish classics like El Toro and Canto del Viento

Like I said, I'm living in Holland so I don't have drum corps experience like most of you. I do hope to go to the DCI finals in about 1-5 years
Of the dutch drum corps, you might have heard of Jubal Dordrecht or Beatrix Hilversum. They are two of the top drum corps in Europe.

The goal of my corps is to have fun and entertain the audience.We don't do competition I (we)love music!

Everyone here has a day job so showcorps is more like a hobby; and so is micro marching for me. I don't write drill for any corps. When it comes to writting my own shows, I'll do whatever pops into my mind and that I like a lot.

I sometimes participate in competitions but it's hard when you have a deadline and writters block.

I have judged over 1000 shows by now!
WHen judging, I look at the total package: Is it entertaining? Realistic? Fun? Was there a "Wow" moment? My personal favorite set is a peace sign

I'm a fan of the Madison Scouts and JMU! ---The James Madison University Marching Royal Dukes!--- great sound and every corps in the world who plays the music of my favorite band queen
