I'm in the Air Academy High School Marching Band. I think shows should be provocative and/or exciting.

Judging:
1-3: you probably had lots of bad collisions and a slow show(times where only a few people were moving)
4-5: collisions & slow show but otherwise good
6-8: Good show, a few minor nit pickings(slow show, etc)
9: Great Show, not quite amazing though(few small and minor nit pickings, not much really)
10: Amazing

PS: I love shows with: A beginning impact, pass throughs, and a fast ending!

The most important thing is to have fun when designing your show.
